If you’re anything like my human, you’re always slipping me a little something from the kitchen — and I love it! But not everything yummy to humans is safe for us pups. Some foods can be downright dangerous.
So as King of the Kitchen, here are my Royal Rules on what to never drop in my bowl:

1. Grapes & Raisins
These tiny fruits are mighty dangerous. Even a few can cause sudden kidney failure. No trail mix treats for me!
2. Onions & Garlic (Raw, Cooked, or Powdered)
They may make your meals delicious, but they can damage our red blood cells and make us very sick. So no seasoned leftovers, please.
3. Chocolate
I know it smells amazing, but chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to dogs. The darker it is, the more dangerous. Hide the brownies!
4. Xylitol (Found in Sugar-Free Gum, Peanut Butter & Baked Goods)
This sneaky sweetener can drop our blood sugar dangerously low. Always read the label — especially on peanut butter!
5. Cooked Bones
They might seem like a treat, but cooked bones can splinter and cause serious harm to our tummies. Stick with raw bones or safe chews instead.
6. Avocados
Some dogs may tolerate tiny amounts, but avocados contain persin, which can upset our stomach and is unsafe in large amounts.
7. Alcohol & Caffeine
Even tiny sips can cause serious symptoms — from vomiting to seizures. Let us stick to water and bone broth, thank you very much.
👑 Final Royal Word from Cyrus:
As much as I love treats, my human always double-checks what’s safe before I get a taste. Keep these foods out of our bowls—and we’ll keep the tail wags coming!
Paws and love,
Cyrus the Great 🐾
